During my time working with Gilbert Konqui in the 1970's I was asked to do quite a bit of decorative works for Pharaoh's Night Club on Water St. in Gastown B.C. The front entrance was changed a few times altering the image of the club. I was also asked to do Art Deco murals and glass works for the interior of the club. All the designs were from Gilbert's drafting and thumbnail sketches, but also we worked directly from old Art Deco posters. Unfortunately I never got pictures of all the work we did there. I am also sorry that I never got pictures of work we did for The Body Shop Night Club and the Candy Store Discotheque in Vancouver as we also did a lot of work there.
Was that the place on the wedge/corner, and it was down the stairs?
